Mexico - Zihuatanejo, GRO
We've been privileged to conduct two-day missions trainings for Overcomers International Mexico teams, as well as Seminary students and local pastors, which have led to over 20 missionaries on the field in 2019.
Ministry Projects Update:
“Give Joy” Initiative - Launched earlier this year, to bless & encourage kids who have been affected by the drug cartel violence in Mexico. Materials were provided to pastors for outreaches in communities in and around Zihuatanejo.
"Unceasing Prayer" – We introduced this prayer initiative to the Pastors Alianza (Alliance) in Zihuatanejo in October 2018, which was readily embraced and implemented. The region is now covered in 24/7 continual prayer! Prayer is not only powerful & effective, but a relationship unifying labor of love for the city!
We appreciate your prayers for us for safety during our travels, and for wisdom as we plan for training sessions. We are able to continue to reach at risk populations and train leaders of these communities through your partnership, prayers and donations. Together, we are building the Kingdom!

Bringing pastors in a region together, encouraging and facilitating partnerships and unity! Our focus is to walk beside these leaders and bring encouragement, facilitate unity and teamwork, and partner with them in their vision for their region.
In 2017 we partnered with two dozen churches in the region of Zihuatanejo and hosted a city-wide family festival - "Fiesta de Vida!" Approximately 2,000 people attended throughout the day and four 90 minute faith-based programs were presented concluding with Gospel messages. Children and families enjoyed food, games & activities, music, mimes, dramas, rap, puppet shows, and fun! The city was introduced to churches and leaders working together for the benefit of all.
We love to visit and minister in churches - our approach is to bring down-to-earth, practical Biblically based instruction that is easy to understand and apply in everyday life. David is frequently told "it felt like we were just sitting down for coffee in your living room, having a conversation."
For many years a ministry in Zihuatanejo has organized weekly counseling and life skills training for pregnant teens, as well as assistance with hygiene supplies, prenatal vitamins, diapers, receiving blankets, etc. Your support of Overcomers International has allowed us to partner with them to provide donations of these supplies and biblically based teaching on self-esteem for these precious young women.
People serving people!
